Is this photography style right for my family?

My desire is to capture your everyday moments to help you discover and remember there was magic in the mundane. These sessions can be a yearly time capsule documenting the bus he couldn’t leave the house without, the blankie that was always trailing behind and that priceless attempt at “the floss.” My photos will reflect your real and authentic life at home. They will be raw, unconventional and unrehearsed.

But what if my kids are crazy?

Perfect! Aren’t everyone’s kids a little crazy? This experience is meant to capture your family’s normal right now - the good, the bad and the ugly.

What’s the time commitment?

You can plan on me spending two 1.5- 2 hours with your family. This will give me plenty of time to warm up to your family and capture some beautiful moments inside your home. Every photo session will also allot 10 minutes to taking a traditional family photo.

How do we act… natural?

This will not be like a regular photography session where your family is being coached every step of the way however, I will give subtle nudges to step into the light or move closer to a child who happens to be playing nicely. I will begin each session with a bit of get to know you time and then we will hop right into whatever activities your family loves to do together. Whether it’s dancing in the kitchen, running through the sprinkler or playing with the dollhouse grandpa built, I will be capturing action shots that highlight the genuine connections that exist in your family. Don’t be surprised if you catch me snapping pictures during transitions, meltdowns and even the inevitable snack time.

When will my pictures be available?

Depending on my work load, the photos will be available between 3-4 weeks and the video between 6-8 weeks.

Can you still do a more traditional family session?

YES! I will still be offering both mini sessions and more traditional photos at a location we decide together. Message me for info about setting it up!


Do you travel?

Yep! I have a $50 travel fee.
